#ALPHA SIGMA ALPHA ALUMNAE UPDATE#
(Note: If you know of information below to be different or you have updated information to share, please PM me so that I can update this list and we can all benefit from this sharing of information. Where do I find information on alumnae initiation for NPC groups? I'm just curious as to who all does do this.Īn excerpt from my thread called My Advice to Prospective Alumnae Initiates I've seen several people in organizations other than mine post that they do alum initiations. See CutiePie2000's GREAT thread on this subject here:

Others will initiate any woman who seems to be a good addition to the sorority but didn't have the chance to go Greek in college.ĭG, Alpha Phi, Gamma Phi Beta and AOPi seem to be popular choices for alum initiates, at least those on this board I am not sure if there is any reason for this or not. Still, each sorority has different standards for who they will allow to become an alumnae initiate - some will ONLY initiate women who have done a lot of good for the sorority, such as a member's mother who's done years of charity work for her daughter's chapter, things like that. However, Kappa is working a program to implement it in the future. For more information about Alpha Sigma Alpha or to recommend a standout student, email Alpha Sigma Alpha also has a website specific to FHSU, believe, at this time, almost all NPC sororities offer some form of it, except for Kappa Kappa Gamma and Alpha Epsilon Phi (and possibly SDT and Theta Phi Alpha - I don't know anything about their alum initiate policies). Representatives from ASA national headquarters will be on campus from Sunday, April 23, to Tuesday, April 25, to meet with current fraternity and sorority students, prospective students, area alumnae and university staff. With excellent leadership development opportunities and a national philanthropic partner nearby, the Sorority is excited to provide FHSU women with the tools to be engaged and passionate leaders within the community. Alpha Sigma Alpha is searching for women who want to lead, serve and make a difference. Alpha Sigma Alpha looks forward to developing women of poise and purpose at FHSU." The Alpha Sigma Alpha recruitment team will be on campus in late August and early September looking for exceptional Tigers to be founding members of Alpha Sigma Alpha. "With both entities striving to develop commitment to service and leadership, we feel this partnership will foster a positive impact on the campus and beyond. Our Tau Tau Chapter has a rich history here," said Melissa Merriam, Alpha Sigma Alpha national president.

"Alpha Sigma Alpha is thrilled to return to the fraternity and sorority community at Fort Hays State University. Nearby alumnae chapters of Alpha Sigma Alpha include the Kansas City Alumnae Chapter, Pittsburg Alumnae Chapter, Topeka Alumnae Association and the Alva, Okla., Alumnae Chapter. This will be Alpha Sigma Alpha's third active collegiate chapter in Kansas, joining Emporia State University and Pittsburg State University. 15, 1901, at Longwood University in Farmville, Va., to foster close friendships between members and develop women of poise and purpose. Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority will be rejoining Fort Hays State University as the fourth National Panhellenic Conference organization on campus, alongside Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Zeta and Sigma Sigma Sigma.
